Nicht nur die Qualifikation für die Olympischen Spiele ist derzeit großes Thema sondern auch die Age Group Qualifikation für die WM in Torremolinos (ESP). Diese ist am vergangenen Wochenende beim Apfelland Triathlon angelaufen. Mittlerweile sind 130 Athlet:innen für den finalen Höhepunkt des diesjährigen Wettkampfjahres qualifiziert.

In wenigen Tagen ist es soweit: Die Challenge St. Pölten 2024 findet statt. 1.700 Athletinnen und Athleten aus 36 Nationen werden am kommenden Wochenende von 24. – 26. Mai in der niederösterreichischen Landeshauptstadt erwartet! Die Veranstaltung erfreut sich großer Beliebtheit bei nationalen und internationalen Athletinnen und Athleten.

Zum Abschluss des Rennwochenendes in Huatulco (MEX) waren noch die Herren am Start. Aus österreichischer Sicht gingen Luis Knabl und Martin Demuth ins Rennen. Tjebbe Kaindl musste auf Grund einer Erkältung kurzfristig passen. Durch ein solides und kontrolliertes Rennen konnte Knabl auf den 16. und Demuth auf den 27. Rang beim Sieg von Richard Murray (NED) laufen.

Bei 30° Wassertemperatur und 34° C Außentemperatur zeigten Österreichs Triathletinnen beim Weltcup in Huatulco (MEX) heute auf. Julia Hauser belegte den 6. und Lisa Perterer den 13. Platz. Österreichs Triathletinnen befinden sich damit eine Woche vor Qualifikationsende für die Olympischen Spiele weiterhin auf Kurs.
